finger pointing politics

I just thought this was a great photo accompanying the WSJ article on the Nuclear Arms summit.

(French President Nicolas Sarkozy, right, talked with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.)

Update on the music

(This was an updated I put on my website, here. Thought i'd share it on the old blogaloga-ding-dong too.)

Sometimes I try to pretend like I'm a rock star. Only in the indie-folk-singer-songwriter kind of way - less hard drugs and more acoustic guitar. That person would tell you about how the new EP is coming along and tell you to sit tight in eager anticipation for it's goodness. It's going to be a delicious little EP and I can't wait to share it with you. That's the truth. Except for the "can't wait" part. That's an exaggeration, 'cause frankly, I can wait, of course. Nobody ever means they actually "can't wait." I digress.

Anyway, The rock star in me wouldn't be lying. But he also wouldn't mention that he's hit a bit of a road block. I won't bore you with the type of this road block but it rhymes with "schminacial." Suffice it to say, as soon as I get my tax refund I'll be back on track and you'll never know the difference. Any day now. The liner notes will probably not read "Executive Producer: Uncle Sam" but the savviest readers of this spec on the interwebs will know the truth behind the music.

In the mean time, I've uploaded an unmastered track that will be on the EP. "Flannel Shirts and Boat Shoes" is playing here, featuring the plucktastic acousticisms of Dave Willis on the mandolin. He'll be in a few more songs on the EP, so "Flannel" is just a tease to enjoy.

I can't thank you enough for your support. The more you and your friends buy the new EP, the less I'll have to wait for my kick back from the feds for the next record. Much like He-Man, you have the power.

I'm off to the Toshi station to pick up some power converters,

eric

p.s. if you're in the Denver area, come out to the Ubisububi room on Monday, April 19.
