Life is Good

For reals. Life is good. Henry has progressively been sleeping longer and longer at nights (knock on wood); and he giggles and smiles all the time. I have a wonderful husband who buys me flowers and earrings and gives me kisses. It has been in the 70's and sunny for the last month. We have flowers and tomatoes growing outside. Henry likes to help me cook in the kitchen.

Here are some visuals from what has been making my life so great lately.

Annie is lovin' the park - Henry thinks it's weird.
We are all loving spending a lot of time outside on these nice days. Eric and I spend our evenings inside watching movies or catching up on sleep. I feel lucky and blessed that my family is so awesome and fun and handsome/cute/crazy/shows me so much love.

Take care of your teeth and they'll take care of you.

Clean up along the way, not afterward.

This applies to:
cooking / preparing food
outdoor stewardship
working
relationships
mistakes
your dog while the neighbors are probably peering our their windows.
but especially cooking / preparing food

Ski/snowboard.

The best way to get down a giant mountain covered in snow. I mean, just think about that for a moment.

Don't take "fake it 'til you make it" too literally. When you hear "fake it 'til you make it," hear "unashamedly imitate the greats and find out why and how they do what they do, until you are some version of great yourself, and you are surprised to find people imitating you, and somewhere along the way you will also become original." So yeah, "fake it 'til you make it."

Things I want to teach my kid, #2

Learn to tie a really good necktie knot, at the perfect length, and make it look easy. (This goes for daughters too, if I ever have one.)

Always do what needs to be done, but try to be nice about it. Really try. Event think hard about how you could try harder. But over all, always do what needs to be done.
